Although that sounds like two different programs, they are one project with a public and private connection.

 

Salute to Patriots & Military Signing Day is a unique program that combines public and private elements to honor students who choose military service. The public portion allows students to be recognized in front of their school, similar to athletes signing to sports teams, as their peers cheer them on for their decision to serve.

How does the private portion of the program work?​

The private aspect includes a dinner where students and their families are introduced to a support network specific to the branch of military service the student has chosen. At each table, students meet other military families, veterans, and active-duty military members from the same branch. This helps build a community and support system while the student serves. The program also fosters connections between civilians and the military community, with elected officials, educators, and veterans showing their support as students are welcomed into their new military family.
