Who We Are
Clovis Veterans Memorial District is a special district that was established on June 11th, 1946.
The district is governed by an elected Board of Directors.
Special districts are a form of local government created by a local community to meet a specific need. Inadequate tax bases and competing demands for existing taxes make it hard for cities and counties to provide all the services their citizens desire. When residents or landowners want new services or higher levels of existing services, they can form a district to pay for and administer them.

On Thursday, November 13th, 2025 at 9:00 AM, the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Board of Directors will host a regular Board Meeting.
This meeting will be open to the public, and we encourage your participation.

Updates to our
Community Heritage Center
We’re proud to share that the update to our Community Heritage Center is finally complete—nearly half of our space has been completely reimagined with a new exhibit focused on World War II in the Pacific.
This newly refreshed area invites visitors to explore stories from the warfront and homefront, blending broader history with meaningful connections to our local community.
Located at 320 Veterans Pkwy, Clovis, CA 93612 and open Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

The Wall That Heals

The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a Mobile Education Center, is coming to Clovis, California on October 9–12, 2025!
It will be located at David McDonald Park at
101 N Temperance Ave, Clovis, CA 93611
and will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public.
The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War, and it bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. This powerful tribute invites reflection, remembrance, and learning. Join us in welcoming this national memorial to our community as we educate future generations, inspire connection, and remember those who gave all.

Military Appreciation Night

Did you know...
Flags are flown at half-staff for certain holidays, including Memorial Day, Patriot Day, and Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Only the president and state governors can decide when and how long the American flag should be flown at half-staff. As a sign of respect for national tragedies, or deaths within the government the President will establish a proclamation stating that flags should be flown at half-staff for a specific amount of time.
